CHILD OF GOD,YOU NEED TO STAND OUT

Are you a good human? Do you think God is proud of you as a son? Well, lets look at some basics that we need to outlay so that we can all know where to place ourselves.

 This article is just to remind you of your responsibility and obligation as a child of God.

To start with, i am not anywhere near perfect with some of these, but the fact that God lays such in my spirit, means that He is looking forward to positive  change from my side  as well as yours. We are all in this world so that we can fulfill the purpose of our maker, and as human we ought to make it a better place for others to live in even as we wait for the day when our Lord Jesus will come back for the church or when He calls us home incase our Lord tarries.

I understand we might not be able to be in perfect terms with everyone we come across because of our differences in many aspects of life. This does not mean that we should start labeling such people as enemies. Please let us focus on our mission and not pick the wrong subjects as aliens, the only enemy we have in common is the devil and his whole batallion. Just because you cant hold a conversation with someone does not mean you might not need them in the future. It is not even a matter of needing them, but its a principle for christians to love and owe no one else nothing but love.

Let us look at some of the things that you should put into practice as a child of God;
💝 Love.  Love people genuinely, stop this hypocrisy love at face value. Peter urges the God's elect  in chapter 4 verse 28 to love each other deeply. Why are we counterfeiting love? Why are we loving only at the surface level while deep inside we wish evil?  Its time to look for change and love people just as how God loves them. Atleast, the scriptures in the first Corinthians chapter13 outlay all the essentials about love. Take a look.

💝Give. Its a sad reality that people who dont know God have devoted their lives in giving more than the sons of God. Sons of God, give generously and expect nothing back. Dont be slow to help in circumstances where you can give it quick as it is required. If anyone reaches out for your help, give if and when you can. The things we have are not ours, we are just but stewards (1 Chronicles 29:4). The Lord shall refresh you, dont close your hand.

💝 Keep promises.  If you want to keep people close to you, fulfill your promises. If you struggle fulfilling promises please discipline your mouth from saying things which your heart knows they will not be folllowed to the latter. Discipline yourself to do whatever thing that proceeds from your mouth, avoid making rash promises. If you are not in a position to fulfill, ask your debtor (the person you made the promise to) to release you from it and become a free person.

💝 Accept correction. Its only a fool who will despise discipline (Proverbs 12:1) because they dont love knowledge and neither do they want to acquire any of it.  Only a scoffer and a mocker should not be corrected because they hurl insults and abuse to them that correct them, and i tend to assume that you are not a mocker. Teach your heart to receive corrections when you are wrong. We are human and we might not be right everytime, we need others to take us back to the path whenever we go astray.

💝Follow instructions. This reminds me of the story of King Saul and Samuel the prophet in the book of first Samuel chapter thirteen. In this story we see Saul depicting instructions and offering the sacrifice on his own, which lead to serious negative consequences. A simple act of following instructions from the authority pleases God. Not only the authority but also from  God Himself ( Proverbs 8:33). There is no way this world can be in order if there are no rules to be followed, instructions helps to bring sobriety. With guidace there is safety, and where it lacks,people fail.  Put your pride down and follow instructions where you are required to.


💝Apologise. Talking of laying down your pride, this is the epitome of measuring your pride level, lol, apologising.  Some of us are so full of ourselves, we cant apologise even when we know that we have wronged. One of the evidences that a person has broken themselves to God is the ability to ask for forgiveness when they wrong others. Somehow, accepting correction and apologising are close cousins and they go hand in hand.  Also learn to forgive and letting go (Eph 4:33)

💝 Dont plot evil. If you dont love genuinely this will be a daily routine. You might never implement the plans, but the mere thought of it makes us fail God.

💝Read to get information. Improve yourself by getting yourself that book and read. Get knowledge.  You have to be informed in this era. Especially you who spreads the Gospel, read to show yourself approved.

💝 Work hard. Get your hands to do something, do not be lazy. Engage your mind to help in making profit. Even when times become hard and may be you are not earning what you desire to, you still need to press on and not give up. God himself is a hardworker, and we see this in Genesis chapter 2. God will reward your efforts, wake up and do something, and not just working, work with integrity.
